Learning Disabilities

For adults with learning disabilities, supported living services can be particularly important. Learning disabilities can make it difficult for individuals to learn new skills and manage daily tasks. Our team provides structured support to help individuals with learning disabilities develop the skills they need to live independently.
We take a person-centred approach to provide care that is tailored to the individual needs of each person, taking into account their strengths, interests, and preferences. This may include help with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care, as well as support with managing finances, accessing education or employment opportunities, and maintaining social connections.

Challenging Behaviours

Challenging behaviours can be a significant barrier to and fulfilling life and independent living. Individuals with challenging behaviours may struggle with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation. Emmys Care provides behavioural support in a safe and supportive environment, to help individuals manage their behaviours and develop more positive coping strategies. This may include access to specialist support services such as positive behaviour programmes or counselling.

We strive to help each individual to develop the skills they need to manage their behaviour effectively and live fulfilling lives in their own homes and communities.
